Course Description
Objectives
By the end of this Short course, the participants will be able to:
- Define the term “procurement” in the public and private sectors;
- Define what is meant by Goods, Works, Services;
- Understand the scope of application of public procurement laws and regulations and the history of evolution of public procurement laws and regulations;
- Understand the objectives of the procurement function (5 R’s) in the public and private sectors and the complementary objectives that characterize public procurement policy;
- Understand the differences between public and private procurement.
