The University of Lagos has reputable Staff Strength being led by a former Director of Bureau of Public Procurement and an Internationally acclaimed procurement expert. He is Dr. O. Akanmu. The Center also has another Director of BPP, Dr. Ese on its team. Prof. Femi Saibu of University of Lagos Director of Chinese and Nigerian Development is also an added value to the Center.

The Center Staff also has   Professor Sanni, a renowned Professor of Law who specializes in Law of Taxation. He was one time, Chair of Lagos Taxation- a position that is usually reserved for individuals who have distinguished themselves in the field of commercial law (taxation).

It is also important to bring to attention that more than 10 members of the University of Lagos Center of Excellence in Procurement, Environment and Social Standards have just received World Bank’s Train the Trainers in Sustainable Procurement.

With all of these, I think the partnership with the Defence Headquarters will go a long way in contributing to nation’s development especially the security sector.
